Pros

- positive work environment - great people - People want to do good - Heath insurance is amazing - Companion travel if you have to travel to the HQ in Parma

Cons

- garbage commute, unless you live in Northern / North S̶o̶r̶e̶ Shore area - Recruiting and retaining competent and talented people is tough - excessively LEAN organization - Senior Leadership hasn't changed much at all (how can the company grow and evolve if the same leaders are the ones making decisions?) - Pay and vacation is MUCH lower than other Food & CPG companies nation wide. - No real vision or strategy for change or growth - Leadership cannot make decisions independently of the Italian side. - marketing dept. is a joke, money is wasted in frivolous things and unnecessary travel - afraid of innovation and risk - dependance on Italy for so many resources (IT, Decision making, etc.) is slowly choking the business - excessive, useless meetings - Adding of resources in areas that are not strategic to the direction and goals of the company such as Innovation. More resources are needed in R&D and not finance or marketing or these other groups - Senior leaders can be very two faced. They gave a :town hall" about transparency and not playing favorites when promoting and career growth, then fired someone the next day because someone didn't get along with them.

Pros

Great benefits, nice new office, some people are very nice to work with. Fun events in the office such as Halloween parties, perks like early office closures around the holidays, etc. Great experience for those who have never worked for a global company.

Cons

Morale has been in a downward spiral for years, but 2015 takes the cake. Unforeseen and unprecedented layoffs have everyone on edge. Others are preemptively jumping ship on their own. Recent demise of the company's gourmet "Academia" line can't be a good sign (also resulting in layoffs). HR is a joke. They are inconsistent about their enforcement of company polices. They will make you look bad to make themselves look better to upper management. It's really very sad, and honestly, unethical. Very little advancement opportunity and few strong career paths. While benefits are outstanding, pay is comparatively very low in the marketplace - and there is a salary cap. Work/life balance varies based on who your manager is. Some are almost too flexible, while others allow almost no flexibility (HR refuses to enforce any consistency).
