Pros

The mission is amazing. It provides a great opportunity for kids who might not have access to high quality education a chance to participate. Pay is competitive. Benifits are good. They provide school vacations which is pretty much unheard of in early childhood.

Cons

The pros don't make the cons worth it to work there. You are paid a lot but they will work you to the bone and not feel bad doing so because they know they're competitive in their pay. There's too many people giving directions to those on the front line without actually spending time in the classroom. Leadership can be toxic and say one thing in front of the masses and then behind closed doors they will tear your apart. Lack of accountability from leadership. Will bulldoze employees for the sake of "putting the child first". I've worked in early childhood for many years and never been burned out so quickly or made to doubt my skills so heavily. I think there is so much potential in this organization to be a wonderful experience for families and hard working employees. But first there is a lot that needs to be fixed before working here becomes sustainable-at least in classroom roles.

Pros

Inspiring, hardworking and creative coworkers. Mission-driven --- dedicated to serving families everywhere they can. Personable, passionate and social justice-minded leaders from diverse backgrounds. Plenty of room to grow and expand your skillset while you contribute your part. The opportunity to be part of something BIG...

Cons

Start-up phase can be challenging at times, depending on your role (but ultimately very rewarding). Must be able to be comfortable working in a pretty flexible, highly ambitious environment. Must be willing to wear many hats, and jump in wherever needed, no mater what. Processes are still being created day by day, so a degree of ingenuity and patience can be essential.

Pros

Equity is at the core of everything they do.

Cons

Directors are given little to no support. I am a director of 15 years and was shocked by the lack of leadership. I was undermined by my director support repeatedly. This caused tension in my team. I left what I thought was my dream job with the feeling this was the worst experience in leadership i have ever had.
