Pros

I enjoy working with the management at Bridgepoint as well as the other consultants. I like the variety of engagements and the ability to move from one client to another giving the workday a more exciting feel. The pay is good, there is flexibility, and built in PTO based on higher hourly pay/hour vs the standard 2080 hours/year. I also appreciate the guaranteed minimum hours while on deck and in between client engagements.

Cons

I have not experienced any cons and really enjoy the consulting mentality and structure.

Pros

No one really ever knows whats going on so you pretty much get away with whatever you want. Thanks to the internal staff, directors, and HR you always know whats going on. Nothing is confidential. They supply you with enough wine and beer to almost make it worth it.

Cons

They really could careless about employees regardless of the initial facade upon being hired. Even that is a joke. Very unprofessional in certain aspects and messy. If you arent making them money, they dont have time for you; even as a consultant waiting to be placed to do so. Its hard to know if the partners even know what really goes on because they cant be bothered or if they even care. I was told by another employee upon being hired "not to ever question or complain about anything. " That should have been a red flag in itself. Long-term stability and dedication mean nothing.

Weak and unethical leadership

Pros

Great and talented employees. Strong but quickly waning influence in Austin

Cons

Bridgepoint leadership made a few wrong decisions and had to exit a few markets like FinOps in Houston. 1) A caveat for all potential employees looking for a job here. Keep a check on your timesheets. Managers and directors often fudge timesheets to cut down your hours. One of their policies is that if you are not billing for 1 month straight they will cut you loose. Don't matter if you are a full time or a contract. 2) No Training : The only training they have held has been MS Excel 101 and some sales training 3) Politics and Bureaucracy abound: Every manager and principal has their favorites. If you are not one of them your life ain't worth it and you are bleeding money from the company. 4) employee iteration is more than 45% for 2016
