Pros

Beautiful office space close to 79 with free parking. Gym & restaurant coming soon. No public shaming or yelling at employees Decent work-life balance Free car washes

Cons

Family business, nepotism, and extreme lack of process and consistency. The "processes" that are there change on a daily basis. Serious lack of professionalism, (the personal stories and lives of your fellow coworkers bleeds into the office and is an ever-present distraction.) There is an apparent core group of long-time friends, forcing new hires that are under unreasonable expectations to rely on and confide in each other because there is not an emphasis on leadership. You compete with an active recruiting manager, who is under extreme pressure and simply does not have time to give you any individualized attention. Lack of trust and investment in employees is followed by empty promises, zero accountability on management and improper professional communication. Misrepresentations galore during the interview process. This may sound petty, but the website still doesn’t reflect their new address. Not to mention the website is pretty horrible, (which is embarrassing considering it’s an organization in a booming tech community.) Management is incapable of making eye contact and handling situations appropriately. It’s your typical fill a slot kind of staffing firm versus establishing a strong network based on genuine relationships. Given the industry, and especially the market, elusive and hard to recruit engineers and tech professionals want something different (long-term resources with a unique approach) out of a staffing firm that I don’t see in CGT. Account managers don't get enough information from the clients. Recruiters are the backbone, performing the most administrative tasks in the database while AM's bark orders via email (using size 72 font.) Time and resources are spent closely monitoring employees as opposed to addressing weak points in the business model or improving office morale. No attempt at fixing issues, because I imagine it is easier to force out people who don’t have super-human abilities or perfectly fit the drone mold than it is to hire a blank slate/recent college grad with no professional experience and mold them into what they want them to be. If you're looking for a small organization that values people and will listen to your ideas and experiment with innovation and efficiency, you're not going to find it here. If you’re looking for training, you won’t get it. You will however receive a binder that defines the word recruiting and is riddled with humorous grammatical errors. They give you the weekend to read through a few pages of pure common sense, and then off you go! Go get ‘em!
