Pros
Always had steady work. Lower management was focused on work-life balance. Had a good team to work with. Felt like I was making a difference.
Cons
After the KCS merger, CPKC suffered public facing failures of their own making. CPKC fiercely chases ways to make the profits go up and that means layoffs. Avoid CPKC if you work in IT. They are years behind technologically and fired the teams that could help them catch up.
