Pros

DISCLAIMER: Your C1 experience will differ VASTLY depending on the team and department you get. There are a lot of terrible teams and depts, and there are a lot of great teams and depts. C1 is a very big company. There are a lot of opportunities to grow within the company. The hybrid requirements are really chill, you have to average 2.3 ish days per week in office. Culture is largely pretty good, most teams will be pretty chill and be lenient so long as you get work done. You have unlimited sick leave, a month's worth of vacation, great health insurance, the usual amenities from a big white collar company. Things don't move too fast in the company because of banking regulations, but for a bank they are really, really fast on their feet. You will have plenty of downtime when things slow down for various reasons. There's a mix of older people who have been here for a long time and comfortably manage raising kids and working in office, with young newgrads chomping at the bit. In essence, they are a bank trying to cosplay being FAANG. All the benefits of a tech company and a bank, and most of the negatives cancel each other out. I have been fortunate to be on a great team.

Cons

- Promotions are pretty hard. You need to perform at the next salary level for at least 6 months to even qualify getting a title promotion. - Bottom 10-15% of the company gets pip'd every year. The thing is, you are compared across the whole company by your role. If you're a senior in something like loans UX, you are also being compared to Larry, a senior engineer in cyber who stopped 4 intrusions in the last 2 months. If you land in a team that is important, you will have a great time. - Some teams are really, really messed up, either nothing to do or way too much to do. And more strict, worse culture, etc. - Not very exciting sometimes. It really depends on the team & department. Don't end up on Financial Services, it is very boring and uses old frameworks. - Office location sucks if going by car.
