Pros

Paycheck does not bounce, plus you do get 5 holidays paid.

Cons

1. Management does not care for employees, zero empathy. 2. Management does not care about customers until their late paying their statement, then they care about them. 3. Zero departments working together, everyone out for them. 4. Warehouse employees are treated like cattle. 5. Sales counter are required not to have overtime but have to work 50 hours a week, usually some uncompensated and if you work Saturdays plan on leaving Wed. early or coming in late for the offset. 6. Ethics are touted as we are but not followed, one of the most unethical companies in the USA. Finally, you have to be nuts for 26 employees to resign in 8 months from one region and still have same management in place, shows you how much senior leadership really does not care.

Pros

Pay is marginally adequate. Ability to work from home periodically. Aside from this not much else qualifies as a Pro.

Cons

The most employee unfriendly atmosphere I have ever experienced. Management continuously takes benefits away. Forced Saturday work during the summer. Mandatory inventory with no compensation for Saturday & Sunday work. No comp time given and no concern for the employees personal time. Management that does not try and make improvements to processes or work atmosphere and in fact demonstrates a total disregard for these issues. Definitely a culture of "the privileged" in management and "all of the rest" that carry the vast majority of the load with no consideration, appreciation or regard. My advice is run from this place if you are considering a job. This is definitely a place to pull a paycheck and not a place for a career as a valued, respected and well treated employee.

Pros

Good benefits, Good people in the lower and mid to lower levels for the most part.

Cons

Zero appreciation for employees. Zero appreciation for customer service. Zero loyalty from upper management. John Bartro and CE Headquarters has no concept of what is required to properly service clients. HR is a joke. No raises but CEO for WATSCO earned over $21 million in 2013 and #2 earned close to $7 million a little nepotism here as well.
