Pros

I am a new employee who works at the ARTC. Joining Catholic Health after nearly 20 years with another large local employer was a big decision, but it’s one I’m incredibly happy I made. From the very beginning, I’ve felt welcomed and appreciated. I support two senior executives. They are fantastic—supportive, communicative, and genuinely dedicated to their team’s success. I cannot think of a negative thing to say about either one of my managers. Our CEO, Joyce, stands out as a kind and approachable leader, which really sets the tone for the organization. She is down to earth and I really appreciate her and I feel confident in her vision for the organization. I highly recommend Catholic Health to anyone looking for a positive and purpose-driven work environment.

Cons

None! I really love being a part of the CHS family

Pros

Good benefits; clean environment, fair pay.

Cons

It does not matter to upper management how hard you work or your great work ethics, or the length of service you have invested, or your ability to get along well with others & are well liked by your fellow associates-when they decide to downsize a department, you are out the door. I do believe age discrimination is high on their priority list. Once you reach your top grade level, are close to retirement and are considered a senior employee, be ware! They will find a reason to lay you off by eliminating positions or changing part time to full time. It has happened twice in 2 years!

Pros

Pay scale is decent, regular raises secured through union contract. Health benefits are good.

Cons

Attendance policy is ridiculous. Being a health care company you’d think they wouldn’t want sick employees at work, but they don’t care. Even with a doctors note absence for illness still counts against you. Management plays favorites.
