Pros

Better workstation and decent laptop/equipment. From my experience, this was the only notable positive.

Cons

Poor work–life balance: The workload and expectations often spill into personal time. Micromanagement issues: Leaders from overseas, who are based in the India Chevron office, tend to heavily monitor day‑to‑day activities, which can feel very restrictive. Excessive tracking: There are several layers of monitoring, sometimes comparable to sales-target tracking rather than HR performance. Brand over experience: In my view, many people join for the brand name, but the actual work environment may not match expectations.
