Pros

There are not many pros unless you thrive in toxicity. Remote work is great.

Cons

This company has forced out their talented leaders and promoted experts into leadership and senior leadership positions instead of filling leadership positions with actual leaders. That, combined with a wildly bizarre cutthroat culture, has resulted in utter chaos. This is far beyond the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. The left hand is knowingly competing against the right hand for prestige and the chance to get in senior leaderships' ear. Senior leaders, by the way, publicly speak to (and about) their own colleagues and staff with shocking unprofessionalism and lack of basic courtesy. This is not hyperbole. If you will be stressed out with a tech first, client/$/ growth second, provider third, and PATIENT LAST mentality, I would look elsewhere for an opportunity.

Pros

The benefits are literally the only pro. BCBS for health insurance and good coverage for dental and vision as well.

Cons

They lure you in with the promise of upward momentum in the company, they tell you how phenomenal you are and then a switch flips and you're forgotten again. Favoritism is a huge issue here. If you want to advance your career do NOT choose this place. You're put on phones as punishment when you take VTO, which they push for MULTIPLE times a day. If you're on phones sometimes BP direct messages you to ask if you want to leave early to save the company some money. You're also on Zoom all day to promote an "office" environment but it's actually to micromanage every little thing you do. You can't have your camera turned off for extended periods of time or you get in trouble. If your phone metrics are good and you have perfect quality scores you still get punished by being thrown on phones while the same people get put in better functions constantly.

Pros

No pros that I can think of. I would say remote opportunities but they make you sit in front of a camera all day long. So is it actually a pro? Micro manage much?

Cons

Poor culture. Abusive and toxic. Use “startup” as a weapon to get you to work 60+ hour weeks. Poor leadership Leadership team is made up of cast offs from other healthcare companies and you can quickly see why. Overall I would highly recommend only taking a job here if you need it.

Cohere Health Response

Thank you for your opinion. The majority of our team members at Cohere appreciate what we have built together and continue to build. A positive and inclusive work environment is important to all of us. One of the ways we have been able to create our culture in a remote environment is with the virtual operations center over webcam. Having the ability to see and interact with each other daily helps to limit the feeling of solitude and isolation that many have experienced during the last year of working from home. We value the social interactions with being present with one another over webcam. This is one of the creative ways that Cohere has found to prioritize the needs of our Cohere community team members. Our efforts have resulted in extremely low turnover within our teams and we are proud to say we have been able to promote many from within. Our greatest asset within Cohere is the people. Success is achieved through teamwork and collaboration. We are proud of the sense of community we have here at Cohere and our remote environment is set up to continue to promote that sense of community. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
