Heading in a great direction

Pros

I rarely look at sites like this, as they can sometimes become forums for negativity rather than a healthy balanced perspective. However, after reading a number of recent reviews, I felt it was important to add some context and clarity based on my own experience. Working here has been a genuinely rewarding experience. It is an organization that is deeply respected, and the authenticity of the brand truly comes through in the work being done every day. There is a strong and shared sense of purpose across the company, and it is clear that people care deeply about the mission and the impact of their work. I feel very fortunate to be part of this team. One of the most encouraging aspects has been seeing the energy, talent, and fresh thinking brought in by newly onboarded team members. You can genuinely feel positive momentum building across the organization. The direction of the company is clear, and that sense of “true north” is reflected in the thoughtful decisions being made throughout the business.

Cons

Like any growing organization, progress requires a willingness to evolve. Welcoming new perspectives and embracing change are essential ingredients for strengthening the mission and ensuring the company continues to grow and thrive.

Thank you for taking the time to share this - it genuinely means a lot. We know Glassdoor can sometimes reflect the loudest moments rather than the full picture, and we appreciate you adding your voice to it. What you've described - the sense of purpose, the momentum, the people - is exactly what we're working to build and protect as Cotopaxi grows. The direction is intentional, and it's encouraging to hear it's being felt on the ground. We're proud of the team we have and the mission we're rallying around. Thanks for being part of it!

Significant decline in leadership and trust

Business Outlook

Pros

There are still individuals and teams who continue to champion the work and mission but many now operate in survival mode.

Cons

Reader beware: this is no longer the company it once was. What remains is an organization shaped by current leadership that rely on pressure, fear, and control rather than competence, transparency, or trust. The executives visibly practice intimidation and manipulation to drive performance and compliance, rather than collaboration and partnership. There appears to be little to no accountability at the top, and little incentive for these patterns to change. New leaders tend to fall quickly in line, with any commitment to the company’s stated values or genuine regard for their teams fading just as fast. While financial performance may be improving, it often comes at a significant human cost. Employees are expected to do more with less and operate under constant pressure, with cost-cutting frequently taking precedence over the long-term health of the brand. Feedback is nominally encouraged but not acted upon. Communication often leans toward high-level messaging and perception management rather than addressing underlying, substantive concerns. These issues are not abstract: they shape the day-to-day experience. Favoritism, micromanagement, and limited psychological safety are recurring and common concerns, often left unspoken due to fear of retaliation. Do not believe recent reviews that are clearly fabricated or coerced by management or HR.

Pros

Cotopaxi provides a strong sense of purpose that genuinely connects to day-to-day operations. The company empowers teams to build structure, improve performance, and drive meaningful change. ring my time here, Changes that have been made: strengthen team stability, elevate accountability, and implement processes that improved SLA performance, and enhanced safety. Leadership supports growth, and there is a real emphasis on building people and promoting from within.

Cons

The company is in the midst of a meaningful culture evolution toward stronger accountability and performance. As with any change, not everyone adapts at the same pace, which can create short-term challenges in team alignment.

Thank you for sharing this, and for the specific callouts around accountability, team stability, and promoting from within. Those aren't small things, and it's meaningful to hear they're showing up in your experience. Change is rarely seamless, and we appreciate the honest framing of that. Building a culture of strong performance and accountability while bringing people along at the same time is real work and feedback like this helps us stay focused on doing it well. Thanks for being part of driving that forward!
