There's a $35k fee for quitting early. It's a training repayment agreement provision, also known as a "TRAP". Everyone who gets placed talks, and it's well known this is legally dubious. By law, a TRAP must reflect the actual cost of training and cannot be used as unfair leverage. The $35k figure is wildly inflated and will not hold up in court.
However, some of the kids breaking their contracts are a bit naive, and they will feel pressured to pay up once the threatening letters come in. This is an exceptionally scummy, predatory, and exploitive move, one that overshadows any good the program might offer, so I cannot give it anything above 1 star.
