Poorly Managed

Pros

Some people seem to have good experiences, but they must be favored by upper management somehow and I'm not sure why or how.

Cons

This company is poorly managed. There is clear favoritism. You are promised unlimited PTO if you meet your KPIs but the KPIs are impossible to meet if you work in particular markets. You are therefor over worked. Management goes unpunished for sexism, harassment, favoritism, and bullying to name just a few. Favoritism given to the offshore team. The clients rule the business which is bad because the candidates often get a bad taste in their mouths because Dexian bends over backwards for clients who clearly do not intend to actually do good business. Candidates talk to eachother and Dexian gets a bad rep, which it deserves. Recruiters have absolutely ZERO influence or respect. They are not welcomed to client calls and are left to play telephone between the AE's, the Vendors, and the Client. Leading to further misunderstandings and terrible candidate experience. I do not recommend working for this company. They do not understand how to do good, smooth, and empowing business within staffing and I imagine they will completely do away with their USA business as soon as they can.

Violates Service Member Rights

Pros

Not very much to think of

Cons

I am deeply disappointed with Dexian and their complete disregard for service members' rights, particularly those protected under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). As a service member, I experienced blatant violations when I informed the company of my military obligations. Instead of adhering to the law and treating me with the respect every service member deserves, I was subjected to retaliatory actions that directly impacted my career and livelihood. After providing proper notice of my military duty, Dexian unlawfully placed me on layoff, disregarding the legal protections afforded to service members. Following my attempts to address this issue and file a formal complaint, the company terminated my employment in retaliation. The situation escalated further when Dexian delayed my 401(k) withdrawal and falsely reported to the Unemployment Commission that I willingly quit my job—an outright misrepresentation of the truth. These actions caused undue hardship and stress, exacerbated by the lack of accountability and transparency from the company. I expected Dexian to uphold federal laws that protect service members from such treatment. Instead, they have demonstrated a complete failure to respect those who serve our country. I would strongly caution anyone, especially fellow service members, against working for this company. Protecting the rights and well-being of service members should be a priority for any employer, and Dexian has failed in this regard. Until Dexian takes accountability and implements changes to prevent such injustices, I cannot in good faith recommend them as an employer.

Pros

My peers on my team and I bonded over suffering. Kept my job after I mentally snapped for a month. But coincidentally “eliminated my job position” shortly after.

Cons

Inconsistencies in expectations and job role, helicopter micromanagement style and not sensitive to mental health. One time, when speaking on the job stress, my manager pantomimed wrist cutting and said “don’t cut yourself or jump out of a window over this.” not too long after that I took a month off due to mental health. I was let go shortly after my return. This is HUMAN RESOURCES how is that kind of verbiage okay? They are financially hurting. Couldn’t even get lunch for 6 people for coming to office for an in person meeting. What a joke. They will request you to be onsite (hybrid) in an office for no reason, solely because they bought expensive real estate. That’s your problem. Even when you’ve proven to be more successful from home. Will call and request you turn your video on to make sure you’re in the office. Nobody from your team will be there, just some randoms not associated with your work. But you still must sit and rot there. No work life balance. Will call you if you appear offline, so use your mobile app to look active ALL the time, or get a mouse jiggler!
