Pros

The people you work with are mostly amazing. The benefits are fine, nothing to write home about. They also offer chances to volunteer in place of taking PTO. Company values are great as well as the steps taken for diversity and inclusion. CEO is great but held back by everyone managing a people team, and I don’t believe she makes the hard moves as often as needed

Cons

Edmentum has been lost since the Pandemic. The company rode strong through the pandemic, then absolutely dropped the ball since restrictions have been pulling back. Management has absolutely no idea how to address the concerns of their employees. They have been providing the exact same, rehearsed speech during company meetings for years to the point of nausea. Not one thing they have said or done has made anyone in the company feel better. Over half of the employees are quiet quitting. The only reason certain managers are where they are is because of the fraternity developed amongst them. The second the company was facing adversity, not one manager knew how to address ANY concern. Company town halls became a game of eye rolling and stifled laughter as the same “resolutions” were preached, keeping track of every time we hear “just keep putting your best foot forward”. Management has become a coalition of wet noodles, and it’s tough that they dont realize everyone is laughing behind their backs, or in front of their face.

Cons

Management is a clown show. The same managers and executives have held their positions for years. For the last few years, edmentum has had a difficult time meeting the sales goals and quotas set for the fiscal year. Their best solution for curving this trend has been to fire everyone. If these goals were attainable, there wouldn't be a problem. But, Edmentum has placed lofty goals on the employees because of data derived from the pandemic. What they seem to not understand is that they are wrong. It does not matter how long you've been with edmentum or how hard you've worked in recent years. They have been letting go of all-stars because of their miscalculations. Right now they are firing these people to bring in bright shiny new faces who don't know any better, or who hasn't been there too see this downward slide. I think it's time to reassess and see that the employee is not the problem, but the "leaders" are the sole source of the issue. Unfortunately, everyone in management is buddy buddy. They will fight to the edge of the earth for each other, but the employees doing ALL of the legwork are expendable. Quite sad to see where this once great company has fallen to. I do not recommend edmentum for anybody. They used to care about their employees and customers. But now all they care about is the bottom line, and I am curious to see how far below that line they will go.

Pros

Flexible hours and ability to work from home. Incredibly smart, passionate individual contributors. The company's mission (on paper) is meaningful and motivating.

Cons

Managerial bullies, nepotism, knee-jerk strategic reactions. The "Educator First" mantra is a joke when it comes to day-to-day business.
