Pros
It's easy to get started, and qualifications are minimal with being able to pass a background check and having enough confidence to work with kids.
Cons
No one was trained on how to do their job in my school district which meant that it was a very chaotic environment with some horrible behavior from the coaches. Being late, leaving work early, lying about hours, refusing to teach during class times while playing on the phone, or even shopping at Target during class time. The concept is amazing and I've heard great things about other school districts but my school district was terrible, weak leadership led to below-standard performance and dissatisfaction from our supported school staff.
