Pros

Paycheck but not pay rate

Cons

I can't emphasize enough how dreadful my time at this company has been. Working here feels like signing up for a journey through the circles of hell. Management is nothing short of a disaster - utterly clueless about talent acquisition and indifferent to the well-being of their employees. If you're not part of the management clique, be prepared to be treated like a garbage. The pay is insulting, and it's evident that they have mastered the art of undervaluing hardworking individuals. It's a sad reality that only those at the top seem to matter to them. There are multiple weekly meetings that are a prime example of time wasted with no clear purpose. An hour of discussions that leave you questioning the point of it all. Recruiters have gathered to collectively ask, "What is the point of this meeting?" Nobody seems to have an answer, and it's a colossal waste of everyone's precious time. The toxic environment is palpable, and the only silver lining is bonding with fellow employees over our shared disdain for this hell hole. It's a bonding experience recruiters within the company have together at ABM, that seems designed to drain the life out of its workforce. To make matters worse, the company exhibits disturbing signs of racism and homophobia. It's disheartening to see such discriminatory behavior in a supposedly professional setting. Diversity and inclusion are mere buzzwords here, and the reality is a stark contrast. In conclusion, steer clear of this company unless you're a glutton for being absolutely miserable. It's a regrettable choice for anyone seeking a fulfilling and respectful work environment. Learn from my mistake and RUN.

Pros

Offers fast-paced experience in high-volume recruiting and a crash course in managing heavy workloads.

Cons

• High Turnover & Restructuring: Frequent layoffs mean remaining staff must absorb the extra workload. In 3 years, I experienced 5 different supervisors, 4 regional managers, and 3 upper managers, creating a lot of instability. • Heavy Workload vs. Compensation: Recruiters are expected to hire 60+ people per month while navigating constant technical issues and updating over 10 different spreadsheets. However, compensation falls short with a $0.25 annual increase and no bonus structure for frontline recruiters. • Workplace Pressure: The high volume and tight targets leave little time for breaks, with many employees eating at their desks to keep up. Additionally, there are frequent payroll issues with frontline staff.
