Pros

If you're desperate for a job then Alameda Alliance may be a quick solution

Cons

I have been working for Alameda Alliance for the last 2 and a half years. People have warned me about their IT org and I didn't listen. I have paid with my career in the toilet as it has been hard to find meaningful work, because of the poor work habits and lost opportunity to increase my skills, working for IT. As other companies evolve , we lose the opportunity for career growth, its more of the opposite of career suicide. I have been stuck here, working in IT under a CIO who has build a culture of mediocrity, mistrust and most of all cronyism. He pays only a very few, triple the amount or 40% more than employees more deserving employees (collaborated by people with access). Ask how many directors of engineering they have had in the lat 3 years. Do some research before you join and you will see some suspicious background of his leadership. Lastly I know and have been told of real situations where many team members are keeping communications and records of their dealing with the CIO, because he will often lie about something he has either said or initiated that to make himself look innocent to a bad decision or zapping a team member. The CIO is root to the ills to the Alliance's problems in IT. He is a power monger, beware of this uncle Fester look alike.

Pros

Good pay and benefits. Lots of room for OT. Position is remote and they are flexible with what time you start/end shift.

Cons

Lots of cases. Like over 40 per week. At the heaviest we have gotten up to 52 per week. There is very little being done to help with miinimizing the caseload.
