Pros

- Staff is great - Other managers especially from a range of backgrounds are really good people and nice to work with - company expense policy is very generous

Cons

- where to start? low pay, lots of confusion, partners have no idea what they are doing. Essentially runs on ego and lies. They often bait people into working more with the promise of raises and promotions. Raises are locked at 3% and pressure to outsource means low quality work. Often they don't promote internally and instead try to jam in friends into leadership roles who are not ready for it and not technical enough for it. Essentially they expect big 4 work levels with medium sized firm pay and status. If you value yourself don't work here, essentially you will be reporting to people who are less talented, less experienced and have no idea what they are doing expecting you to do their job for them. The leadership's only real talent is throwing associates and managers under the bus to cover their own lack of talent.

Pros

I had a great experience as an intern at Armanino. The team was very supportive and collaborative, and I felt like they cared about my success. I was given real, hands-on work that helped me learn a lot about the industry and professional work environment. The pay was also very generous for an internship.

Cons

I wish it was longer than 8 weeks!

Pros

Great people to work with.

Cons

1. Upper management have no intention to retain domestic talent. They will throw work at hard workers, hard workers get burnt out and leave, more work gets thrown to the people that stays, they get burnt out, eventually they will leave. This is something that happens at most accounting firms. 2. Mixed signal from upper management regarding billable hours. You are told to bill all the hours, but if you did, they get upset because you spend too much time. You try to make them happy by eating hours, they then get upset because you aren't working hard enough by billing enough hours. 3. You are doing workload of a big 4 with mid size firm salary and comp. If you are to cry and get stressed out, I suggest you to cry at a place that gives you more exit opp.
