Flexible shifts and good coworkers, but management prioritizes profit - Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) Banner Health Employee Review

Pros

Being able to pick up shifts whenever you want. Good coworkers. Decent pay.

Cons

Banner cares more about numbers than about its employees. If it has the opportunity to stretch its staff to maximum capacity to say a few dollars it will do so. Management gets bonuses for the amount of money they "save" on not hiring employees. This puts patients and families at risk, as well as burning out staff.

Like many large healthcare organizations, decision-making can sometimes take longer due to the number of stakeholders involved. Cross-functional projects often require coordination across multiple departments, which can impact timelines but also helps ensure compliance and thoughtful implementation.
