Pros
The people are have met at Bozzuto have been wonderful - caring, supportive and kind. I can honestly say I’ve met my best friends here. Base pay for Sales and Marketing is meh but you can really make a lot in commissions. Like several thousand dollars extra per month if you’re good at leasing. Also nice to have extra responsibilities such as managing social media, email marketing and events. Helps people grow in the scope of skills and makes them more marketable employees, while having more options for career advancement. Many people get promoted quickly but there are certainly people that get overlooked. Overall I would say the internal growth is real and visible. Many people I have met here have been at the company for decades, which says something. Benefits are good - 20 days of PTO is lovely (of course if you don’t get sick often haha), Cigna for health insurance, many perks at work.
Cons
Work-life balance can be a major issue. The standard hours for on-site staff are 9-6 most weekdays, which is difficult because leasing staff work weekends, which means it’s hard to see family and friends or carve out any evening plans. After a while, it feels very isolating and like your life revolves around work. Bozzuto offers one regular weekend a month with the rest of your days off being during weekdays, which for most people I’ve met are consecutive, but it’s tough because it destabilises your whole month, so most people I’ve met just stick to their usual weekdays off. If improvements could be made in this area, I think Bozzuto would be a top choice for anyone looking to grow in property management/real estate.
