Pros

Brandpoint has a great environment which breeds fun, collaboration, hard work and success. Pretty much everyone in the company is approachable and easy to talk to (even about difficult topics). The employees are relatively young but also experienced and very knowledgeable in content and social strategy.

Cons

Incentive bonuses (while understandably not available from many other employers) are not always related to an employee's actual responsibilities. Many of the incentive bonuses are based upon company or divisional sales which most of the employees have no direct impact on. There is also a lack of true leadership within the company (especially considering our small size). Nurturing growth of employees and leadership by example is missing. I believe there are significant strengths within the leadership team, but they do not use their talents to help average employees grow within their positions or within the company.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad that you feel free to voice your feedback to others in the organization and that you understand Brandpoint's commitment to success. As part of that commitment, all of our employee incentive programs are tied to company performance (including sales) in some way. We regularly recognize talent and provide opportunities to grow within our current structure and are continuing to add more layers within the organization to fill in gaps we may have in subject matter expertise, including training and development of individuals within those areas. I hope you can see this change and that it addresses some of your concerns in that area. It can be difficult for executive leadership to be hands-on with all employees, however, we hope that our open door policy and communication efforts (at quarterly meetings and through cascading messages from others on the management team), would provide employees with the sense that their leaders care, and more importantly, are listening. If you ever want to meet with anyone on the leadership team, just stop by their office or ask them to lunch. You'll probably learn more than you'd expect (or maybe even wanted) :)

Pros

The best part about working at Brandpoint is the amazing people here. There are incredibly talented people at Brandpoint and there is such a strong sense of community with so much support for each other (both in the workplace and outside of work). The business is growing and continues to evolve with the market which is very exciting and leads to opportunities to grow in your career if you identify and seize them. It's also really fun, as we grow, to be able to help educate our clients and contribute to tangible business success for them. During my time at Brandpoint I've seen a concerted effort to move from a sales-first organization to one that is focused on doing the right thing for clients and employees. There has been so much positive change in that focus as well as innovation in the work we're doing and I'm excited for where the company is heading.

Cons

Because there is consistent change in digital marketing, Brandpoint has to change with it to stay at the top. This change can bring exciting new opportunities for employees. But I also know some people don't deal well with change and that may be a turn-off. I will add that Brandpoint does a good job communicating and managing changes, especially over the last couple of years.

Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate that you have taken the time to let us know how we are doing. We also think that Brandpoint has an amazingly talented group of people who are fun to work with. We welcome your suggestion on more management training to help nurture employee skills. We want employees to feel like this is a place they can grow and learn and are always open to suggestions on how to make that happen. If you ever think of any other suggestions, please let HR or your manager know.
