Pros

The pay is the only positive. They're definitely above the market trend in pay.

Cons

As they pay so well, they expect you to be 100% percent available at all times. You're required to work 48 a week but they make you work 60+ even when it's not necessary. They watch camera and listen in on conversations. The benefits are good if you live in Houston. The company they use is based in Houston so few providers accept it. They expect you to come to work no matter what. Sick, death in family, flat tire, car wreck. I've seen employees get written up for all of that. I don't even mind that we don't get lunch breaks. I mind that the higher ups don't follow the same rules. They get to go off site and take hour long lunch breaks. We're allotted five minutes. They make us managers carry around little "BOLO" reminders to write employees up for specific things. It takes micromanaging to a new level. The culture is so toxic. The employees are so unhappy. It's widely known that the company does not care about its employees. As managers, we're told to replace them instead of addressing the real problem. You're not allowed to ask for days off. If you need a specific day off, you must use PTO. You cannot request that it be your regularly scheduled off day. If you forget to clock in or out, you're written up. You're constantly walking on egg shells.

Pros

Pay. For my department, a regular schedule. OT opportunities. Double pay holidays.

Cons

Management has serious favoritism. They pressure you to pick up the slack of the ones who are lazy or work like sloths. A position hurting you? They don’t care. It’s SO easy to get fired. 3 strikes you’re out. Don’t forget to clock in or out including lunch, strike. Don’t be one min late. Strike. Don’t have car issues. Strike. Don’t get sick. Strike. Going to call in? Make sure it’s more than 1 hour before your shift If not, strike. Don’t say something wrong, instant fire. So many great people and hard workers get fired because they missed clocking in/out. People get distracted or forget and jump right into work. No big deal right? Wrong with this company. How dare you forget?! You get 3 weeks vacation sure, but ever get sick? PTO gets used for that. Someone says something that was interpreted wrong fired. Definitely can’t count on keeping a job here. Better have a plan B ready because any day could be your day. Training? Ha! More liked throw you into it and figure it out.
