Pros

Easy to get hired. Easy interview. Good computer equipments.

Cons

I accepted an offer to join CBIZ, a decision that involved a six-week wait due to their need to train large groups. The onboarding process included fingerprinting and a comprehensive background check. Despite completing all modules during the expected four weeks of training, my employment was terminated at the beginning of the second week. The stated reason for termination was a perceived deficiency in my training progress. However, no assistance was offered to help me rectify the situation; instead, I was let go abruptly at the end of the day and in the middle of the week. The overall experience, given the extensive hiring process and the decision to leave my current job, proved to be disproportionately unfavorable. The compensation offered by CBIZ was notably inadequate, especially considering that those excelling in training could easily secure positions paying around $30 per hour remotely, while CBIZ offered a range of $15 to $20. I observed a concerning trend in group meetings, noting a decline in the number of employees each day. It appears they hire a large group and gradually dismiss those who do not meet exceptional standards. This practice is both unfair and toxic, particularly for individuals who left secure positions to join the company. Furthermore, the information provided about the job description was misleading, both in the initial listing and during the interview process. This role may serve as a short-term opportunity to gain experience, but it is advisable to explore other employment options where skills and contributions are duly recognized and compensated. Unfortunately, CBIZ seems to undervalue its employees, treating them more as numerical entities than individuals deserving fair treatment and compensation.

Pros

Good opportunity to learn and grow your career if you make the extra effort. Decent amount of time off in the off season. Offices are clean and provide often provides food and has events to get the office together.

Cons

Pay is not the best. Will drag along promotions if they think they can get away with it. HR has been feeling increasingly hostile since the Marcum takeover. Recent layoffs have increased workloads for employees that stayed. The busy season can be brutal and upper management hawks billable hours ignoring the flow and cycles of some client books causing some employees to become overloaded with work. Outsourcing programs have been a nightmare causing increased budget costs for client books.
