Pros

The company has a diverse and dedicated team across all entities in support of a great mission, providing development, training and clinical care services for children and young adults on all spectrums of the Autism Scale.

Cons

With the current climate of being socially responsible and politically correct, catering to the far left progressives, Catalight Foundation has gone way too far left and are forgetting about their mission to provide quality care and services to the autism community. What was an already diverse leadership team and company wide professional not for profit, the racial divide of recent years prompted a knee jerk reaction to hire a Chief Diversity Officer rather than rely on enhanced HR programs. First course of action upon hiring the new CDO was that she renamed her position JEDI Advocate since Chief is cultural misappropriation apparently in her view, and Officer is untrusted by the black population, which makes up 13.7% of the US. Next, implementing discord across the organization by requiring all these self identification which is extreme, awkward, uncomfortable and presented as if we’re in pre-school. If it was just that, it could be tolerated even if inappropriate in the workplace as evenone is and should be treated the same, nobody needs individualized treatment in the work setting. The height of the extreme and what the majority of the employees find offensive, but afraid to speak up, is she has now eliminated all Federal Holidays by name from the calendar, with the exception of Labor Day, Memorial Day and the now two black based holidays, which retained the names MLK Day and Juneteenth. President’s Day is no longer, now known as mid-Winter Break, Independence Day is now listed as Summer Break and Thanksgiving is referred to as Fall Break. This is Un-American and offensive to 99% of us who identify as Americans. When questioned during a town hall company meeting, she said for example that she doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving and we have to respect that. Using that logic then, 86% and 99% of the country don’t celebrate MLK or Juneteenth, respectively so let’s rename them too! UnAmerican and creating division is not appropriate in any workplace and especially not a not-for-profit!

Pros

They have a pretty good work life balance as far as when you need to take time off.

Cons

Nobody really knows what they are doing there and they people that did either left or they let go.
