Pros

Many older employees may have fond memories of earlier times. CBC was once a progressive company in terms of employee relations.

Cons

The last president inherited the position. He seemed uninterested in being there and abdicated leadership to his wife. Worst of all, he allowed her to undo the family legacy by mistreating employees. The organizational dysfunction the resulted (not outside factors) is what eventually brought down the company.

Pros

The holidays and the flexibility with scheduling vacation. If you needed to go to an appointment you were allowed to take as little as an hour vacation if you only needed an hour. ESOP benefits were incredible. Town Hall meetings with full disclosure. Onsite Flu shots for your spouse/partner and yourself. Blood drives done on your breaktime. Many of the management were wonderful. But times changed. The wintergarden is beautiful with huge indoor trees and wonderful sunlight. The FOOD is unbelievable. Mark is a great chef who came from a local restaurant. The number of holidays is amazing. They also had a 'free' table near the exit where you could put items from your home you don't want anymore and know that someone would take it and it would end up in landfill. You were able to take some samples home if you need a booklet on high blood pressure or a coloring book for your child.

Cons

There were one or two folks in the management that made the marketing department a nightmare. That was really tough. Marketing and sales blamed for a downturn in sales instead of the recession. Opps. Lost many loyal employees.
