Pros
Once you become a top-gun you make decent money because of the ability to essentially choose your schedule and sections.
Cons
Nothing is as they say it will be. In training, you're led to believe that the customers satisfaction is in your hands and that you are able to fo anything in your power to satisfy their needs. Servers have no power whatsoever. Management is poor. Most times managers sit in their office doing back-of-house work or off to the side on their phones. Often times when they are needed, they are nowhere to be found. They quite honestly just dont care. This is including the General manager who is there to cash a check and eat/drink for free. Its basically the servers job to pay your backwaiters and bussers wages automatically giving up 30-40% total tips EVERY shift. Pay the damn people a decent hourly wage so servers dont get screwed over. And FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ADD GRATUITIES TO PARTIES. Your servers get screwed over far too often by guests. Nobody cares about front waiters when WE are the ones playing a significant role in the success of the restaurant and bringing people back. There is no benefit to being a server for this restaurant group.
