Pros
Work from Home; that's about it
Cons
VERY negative experience...recruiters and trainers create the illusion of an easy, happy-clappy seasonal order-taking job, then you're thrown on your head on the phones into their real world of impatient and demanding customers and pressure to upsell. The training was unbelievably poor and does NOT prepare you for what is to come. You had to catch everything in class on the first bounce, and if you didn't--or if the trainer muffed the demonstration by getting jammed up in the practice system--well, sorry, no re-dos, we're moving on to the next topic. And, I can tell you from years of call center experience that engaging in chit-chat with irritated callers while you search through job aids for how to help them is a recipe for being thrown to the dogs. Other nasty surprises are also revealed at the last minute (such as the fact that you may be canceled from a shift if it's slow). And, if you ask audacious questions such as when you'll be getting paid or how the incentive program works, you'll be told that your Supervisor will "let you know all about that" just before you go on the phones. I don't recommend Colony Brands unless you need a very modest side hustle AND you have a very strong stomach for basically jumping in and learning your job as you do it.
