Pros

Great benefits like PTO, jeans, work from home, popcorn, la croix, etc. Great at recruiting top talent, but mostly Type A personalities. Top-rated apartment developer. You will feel pride in what you do. You have an advantage if you are willing to play corporate politics. I liked a lot of aspects about Continental and truly wanted to make a career there, BUT

Cons

Unfavorable toward women. Ask HR how many terms in the last year were females. Look at website's leadership team - mostly men. The only department who is an exception to that statement is HR. Bright and hard-working women with a strong and caring leader at the top to advocate for the department's career development. You are expected to come in on previously approved PTO days. Culture is over-promoted both internally and externally. It took leaving to realize something was toxic about their culture (i.e. thrown under the bus, no action taken in regard to concerns) . Culture sold me...then ultimately broke me. If you stand up for yourself or colleagues thrown under the bus, you are ultimately disregarded and made to feel foolish for even wasting your time. Your right of passage is the expectation to work ~60 hours a week, consistently. Even so, your efforts aren't always appreciated but instead expected. Continental takes and takes from employees and in return gets away with consistent under-staffing. Multiple Type A personalities within the same organization = toxic culture. You will love working there the first year. Then you will eventually burn out. Work/life balance. Working from home is NOT a benefit if you're consistently expected to work 60 hours a week...

Pros

Recently hired on from temporary role. Very excited to grow and learn from the working opportunity. I have encountered nothing but a wide variety of individuals/roles to gain knowledge and grow from in the construction workforce.

Cons

I see none at this time and don't anticipate any issues
