Pros

Negative None nada zip zero.

Cons

Where do I start. During my interview I asked what are the work hours. I was told 7 - 4. Little did I know that was a blatant lie. From day one at the office I was putting in calls non-stop and I wasn’t allowed to leave until after 6pm. Sometime 9pm if they were on a time crunch to fill open positions. There is no overtime yet you are required to work overtime. Not to mention I got my butt chewed for being 15 minutes late by one of our corporate bosses all while knowing that I give them on average 3 hours of unpaid time daily. One time I was asked not to take a full lunch because we have positions to fill. “We want you to eat while you work at your desk.” Was what I was told. The last straw for me was when I was pulled into the office because I take too many bathroom breaks and coffee breaks. Umm hello?? I’m putting in 14-16+ hours daily and I can’t even go to the bathroom to relieve myself 3 to 4 times in a day without being reprimanded for it. I’ll tell you, I have never quit a job without having another one but when I quit it felt like all the stress melted away from working here. Any btw… I was escorted out… the day I quit. They didn’t even want a two weeks noticed. I told them I wanted to submit my two weeks and they said I can leave today. Guess they didn’t appreciate much of my sacrifice. But I say to them. Good riddance.

Pros

The recruitment process was impressively straight-forward. I was contacted about an opportunity on LinkedIn that was a perfect fit for me. Within two weeks, I completed the screenings and interviews and was extended an offer. The team was fair, forthcoming, and willing to work with you to ensure that you are prepared to be successful every step of the way. They also asked good questions to ensure that I was ready to transition from a job of 5.5 years to a potentially risky contract to hire opportunity. I am now at a company that I love, with an exciting opportunity, great flexibility, and my work-life balance restored. After a few weeks on the new job, the team stopped by to check in and are also in regular contact to ensure that things are going well. I genuinely feel as though the team is invested in my success, and that there is a human, personal touch with their recruitment and placement strategy. Plus, getting paid every week is always a nice touch.

Cons

Benefits take effect on the first of the month after your first 60 days which will require COBRA if you are transitioning from a job with benefits. The benefit options are pretty expensive. The only PTO option is 7 sick days per year, accrued at a rate of 0.13 day per week. So for example, if your engagement is six months, then you will accrue 3.5 days of sick leave during that period. The pay rates don't always factor your past total compensation plus the risk associated with taking on a contract to hire position.
