Pros

Exciting industry and strong product / service offering Great colleagues and enjoyable culture Ample opportunities to drive improvements and develop talent to leave your mark Sr. management is firm with their expectations while valuing you and your contributions

Cons

Finance runs very lean, at least within ops. Nights and weekends are required if you strive to do more than the essentials. EQD and the industry at large are navigating challenging market conditions after an explosive market in ‘21/‘22. This will eventually improve. Systems and processes are highly manual and drawn out in some cases - and often seem to not be a priority.

Pros

Strong brand reputation: Equipment Depot is a recognized leader in the material handling space, and customers respect the brand. Good leadership support: Senior management is generally open to process improvements and will listen if you present a solid business case. Career development: Plenty of exposure to cross-functional areas (sales, finance, service, supply chain) which makes it a great learning environment. Tools and resources: Investment in CRM and reporting systems has made it easier to manage data and support the sales team. Team culture: Collaborative coworkers, especially at the branch level, who genuinely want to solve customer problems.

Cons

Growing pains: The company is evolving and modernizing, but that comes with some siloed communication and shifting priorities. Pace of change: New processes and systems can be rolled out quickly, and it sometimes feels like the operational side is playing catch-up. Workload balance: Sales operations is the “go-to” for everything, so you have to juggle requests from multiple directions. Regional differences: Experience can vary depending on which branch or region you support.
