Pros

I made some long lasting, albeit trauma bonded, friends. PTO is cool. Prepared me for a better paying job.

Cons

Management really is terrible. Undervalued employees across the board and all positions except for C suites are WELL below the industry standard for pay. Annual “pay increases” are weak and do not even cover inflation. They continue to add middle management that is quite frankly useless and a waste of general resources, as they always hire EXTERNALLY for these leadership roles. These external hires do not know how the business operates and cause additional stress on the people ACTUALLY doing the work, by not even trying to learn and just keep shuffling things back. There is ZERO room or opportunity for growth internally. They’ll dangle lateral movements, or the sales team will poach you, and put you on a PIP within 3 months because you are unable to meet their ballooning and unachievable goals. Perks have slowly been removed over the years with promises that a “replacement” is coming, but never does. Events have been reduced to former shells of greatness. The bullying and manipulation from some managers is also quite bad, and has caused many people to change departments or leave entirely. Be prepared to be overworked consistently and micromanaged down to the last second. Also be adaptable, as the processes change every other month with little to no warning.

Pros

Your voice matters. When you bring forward a problem and offer solutions, people genuinely listen. It’s a culture that values continuous improvement rather than staying stuck in old habits. Real opportunities for growth. There are many chances to work on cross-functional initiatives and build strong relationships across the business. If you want exposure, development, and leadership visibility, you’ll get it here. Purpose-driven work. The company is committed to serving clients well, staying compliant, and protecting their assets. It’s rewarding to be part of work that truly matters. Supportive people. Most colleagues are willing to help, collaborate, and find solutions together. There’s a growing mindset of fixing the process—not assigning blame. Work-life balance. It’s a busy environment, but the company makes an effort to respect personal time and provide flexibility when it’s needed.

Cons

No company is perfect. There can be communication challenges and some change fatigue, especially during big projects or transitions. However, leadership is taking steps to improve clarity, structure, and alignment.
