Pros

Not a ton. Everything I can think of that is positive is just something that is not negative, and pretty much standard for every other company like for example a decent water cooler or pretty good air temperature or a casual dress code. I would say great people but that’s becoming false. Everyone who is good at their job or fun has quit or is on the verge of quitting. We aren’t getting any good new people which probably makes sense since I wouldn’t want to start at a company with these Glassdoor ratings either, but it’s sad because they are so honest. The snacks and beer are good but I’d still rather get paid more than any of the perks this company has.

Cons

As most reviews mention, the CEO is not to be trusted. There has been consistent lying regarding changes to pay, model, layoffs, employee retention what have you. Pay used to be great before TPG was involved, but now the merit raises are pretty much in line with inflation. 2% for great feedback and a hard years work. As you can tell, this place is constantly trying to cut costs to be sold off this year which may be the only good thing I could imagine in the future of this company. The product is terrible and we are wasting smart people on covering up product glitches for large clients who are going to fire us anyways instead of focusing on R&D and enhancements. This is because they laid off essentially the entire R&D dept 6 months after the CEO swore to these people their jobs were safe! To top off the bad product, the clients are pretty tough to work with because they know if they complain enough they’ll get the software for free meanwhile execs shave off the employees paychecks just to keep the terrible clients happy. These clients will either go bankrupt, fire us anyways, or not fire us at all because they can’t afford to so I don’t know why we overcompensate for meaningless client complaints at the employees expense. I guess their goal of clients for life doesn’t fit with employees first.

Thanks for your feedback. Since many of your comments are directed at me specifically, I will start by saying that I always try to be as transparent, open and direct in my communication as I can be. I am always open to a conversation to address specific suggestions, or concerns. While my preference is always an in-person meeting, phone call or email, I find that some employees are more comfortable leveraging Officevibe as a communication channel. (Note: Officevibe is anonymous). Regardless of what communication channel employees use to share their feedback, I can assure you the Executive team and I take it very seriously, and where appropriate, act on it. When I read your review, the theme that comes through to me is change. As we have grown into a global company, we have had to make changes to scale our business and stay competitive in this industry. While I’m sure there is always an opportunity to improve the clarity of our messaging, I have always tried to be open and honest about what changes we’re making and why. That said, I do take issue with your characterization of me as “not to be trusted” and the implication that I have “lied.” Neither of these things are true. I always have the best interests of the company, our employees and our clients at heart. If you’d like to better understand our vision as a company or would like to discuss your career development, please take me up on my offer to speak directly.
