Pros

-Travel to different parts of the country that you would not normally visit -Fulfillment from helping people in need. Connect with survivors/staff. -Hotel/Rental/Airline points. (Suite Life) -Per diem $$$ w/ no tax -Lot of training opportunities, room for professional growth

Cons

-Deployments vary between regions, locations, and personnel. Some staff/regions are better than others. -Power trips and beefing between staff members for no good reason. People know work is temporary and want to go home, people stop caring when they know they are going home soon -Competence varies greatly at all levels -Intermittent work that depends on natural disasters. Hours/OT and frequency of deployments are pretty much random

Pros

Work life balance is good. You come, you do your work, you go home. Casual work environment. Hybrid, but a lot of flexibility to be remote

Cons

If you're not ex-Military or an older white man, you'll have respect performed to you but not actually given. You might be in the room, but you'll be ignored or talked over.
