Pros

The benefits are pretty good. There's a lot of flexibility when it comes to creating a work life balance. In most instances, you only have to work 40hrs/wk. It's also great working for a company that is doing so well.

Cons

Often times, middle management just doesn't get it. We don't seem to be getting the recognition we deserve. Sometimes, you might find yourself putting in extra hours and it doesn't seem like they notice or care.

Large company can make it hard to navigate as new hire so recommend finding mentors and leaders to guide you.

Pros

Pretty easy job, low stress, good work life balance, nice people. If you just want a place where you can maintain a stable career, with decent pay, and a good work life balance, you could do much worse than Ford.

Cons

Terrible leadership decisions. ADAS got wrecked over the past 2 years. Most of the talented engineers that I knew have moved on. Part was intentional attrition via return to office mandates and the rest was just the fact that the talented folks who could easily get new jobs got frustrated enough to leave. If you're interested in deep technical work related to autonomy, robotics, ADAS, etc - Ford is not the place you want to be. All of the interesting work has been moved to Latitude, Ford ADAS is mostly just supplier management now.
