Pros
Unfortunately, there are very few at the moment. I guess the pay and benefits are OK, but management would have one believe both are top tier. They are not.
Cons
Favoritism is rampant. Disrespectful, inconsiderate condescending people seem to be favored for promotion when they are incapable of effectively managing people. Bullies appear to be "in" here. There is a counter-productive "core hours" policy for salaried employees. People are expected to work long hours (48-50) regularly, but if one arrives at 7:01 am rather than 7:00 am, that is rounded up to 6 minutes of "lateness" and costs the "offender" a tenth of an hour of vacation. This is true even if the "offender" works a 12 hour day. This does not breed company loyalty. It is also possibly illegal. Snowstorm? "Get up earlier or drive fast and take chances" is the answer. Internal posting system is a joke. People regularly get blocked from making lateral moves (some in management deny this but HR knows it's happening and can do nothing about it) that would help the company by making employees become more well-rounded.
