Pros
Able to work from home the majority of the time - but be prepared to work 15 hour days, 7 days a week and still not be able to keep up with constant, changing demands and students' needs. (the weekend and nights are the only time you will have time to do the mountains of paperwork and make regular calls to parents and students which are the expectations of admin).
Cons
Open disdain for teachers from the highest level of admin, pay is not measured by experience or education, and definitely not fair market considering the hours you must work. Unreasonable expectations - student/teacher ratios are insane - expect to teach at least five classes daily with over 50 students per class - and hold an open-session for tutoring at the end of the day where ANY of your students can drop in daily. Far more work than I ever did in brick and mortar public or private schools.
