We appreciate your feedback. We know our teachers and staff make our schools incredibly unique and special. While we acknowledge that the administration of each academy may vary slightly, it is our goal to bring alignment and clarity to all academies around our common mission. We appreciate your input on this issue, and we have in recent years made it our goal to eliminate the non-essential burdens on teachers. We have been engaged in ongoing work on this issue for several years despite no significant funding increases from the states in which we operate, and simultaneously we must balance the need to maintain smaller class sizes, robust network resources, and safe and welcoming campuses. Great Hearts does provide excellent benefits (medical, dental, etc.), with employee premiums that are significantly below the national and regional averages. We have increased our salary ranges in certain regions over the past year. We will continue to work to improve in these areas. We will share your feedback with our leadership.

Thank you for your feedback. We strive to set a standard of excellence for our students with a focus on a rich liberal arts curriculum and emphasis on moral formation. Great Hearts does provide excellent benefits (medical, dental, etc.), with employee premiums that are significantly below the national and regional averages. While we acknowledge that the administration of each academy may vary slightly, it is our goal to bring alignment and clarity to all academies around the mission to pursue truth, goodness, and beauty. Those pillars demand that our teachers and staff model virtuous excellence, but in any human endeavor, we fall short of those expectations and the work is hard at times. We will share your feedback with our administrators and leadership team.

Pros

Great Benefits like insurance with Blue cross blue shield.

Cons

The pay is not worth it for the of work and the coworkers aren't the best of people. Overall very stressful environment to work in which led to very high turnover rate of teachers. They would hire fresh out of college graduates with no experience in teaching and just drop them in to learn as they go.
