Pros

Compensation is really compelling, provided you’re lucky enough to be assigned a good territory. Even then, maintaining high compensation is nigh on impossible. Recent changes may improve things somewhat. Workforce is really diverse, and there are a ton of great people working there.

Cons

Work/life balance is poor, particularly if you want to excel. Sweeping, nonsensical unilateral changes are made with no advance notice. Nobody really knows what they’re doing, particularly in leadership. It’s not at all uncommon to go months without getting any commission, and people have worked there for months and have never earned commission. They’ve created an environment where lying and cheating coworkers is not only a norm, but necessary for survival. You’ll be tasked with selling product most people don’t want, and those that do quickly find out it does not perform as expected post-sale leading to cancellations.

Pros

it’s a job with pay and benefits.. the coworkers make it bearable.. you get a few wfh days per year

Cons

- low base salary meaning you are living paycheck to paycheck if you choose to join the sales team in Richmond.. - commission structure constantly changing so you literally don’t know how much you will make even if you sell the same amount per month - goal post is unknown.. - you will acquire accounts that someone else sold based on lies or old features that they no longer can use - kpis always changing and adding more to your plate - micromanagement
