Remote work but not worth the unpleasant leadership

As contract work, the owner Cheri is very rude and condescending. They have high contract turnover rate and there is no time for growth or to learn. Cheri micromanages and does not have a sense of humility or grace.

Cheri provides a great opportunity for aspiring analysts to get their feet wet and gain experience quickly. Working with HG allowed me to do what I might do for one client over a whole year in a matter of months. Every person on the team brings their own background and experiences to share and help you learn. Cheri was open to criticism and made steps to change how she managed her team during my time with HG.
Cons
Cheri has a lot on her plate at once. She wants to make sure everything goes as it should for a client and sometimes that comes off as overbearing and harsh. Her expectations and high-strung nature coupled with difficulties being transparent (I think she just forgets because she's so busy) made it hard to work there. She said things that were harsh and would openly call out people on perceived performance issues that should have been handled 1:1. With it being a small team, unless you're the inner circle there are no additional growth opportunities.

Cons
My experience with this company was disappointing due to inconsistent communication and disorganized processes. Multiple interview and start date reschedules were followed by inadequate onboarding. Despite receiving positive verbal feedback from team members, I was abruptly terminated without warning or direct communication from management. The administrative aspects of the company appeared disorganized, which affected the overall work experience. While the team members were pleasant to work with, management practices need significant improvement in terms of transparency and professional courtesy.
