Tons of carbs doesn't make up for a toxic culture. You're either part of the "in" crowd or you're invisible. Entrenched nepotism; most interns are kids of management. Top talent resigning every week.
Such a bro culture that one person actually said to me "of course we're bro culture but that's OK because I'm a bro".
Absolutely no product direction since the acquisition. Bullying isn't simply accepted, it is rewarded. Most of us have learned to keep our mouths shut because our ideas will not be listened to and neither will our complaints. Very loud office environment; most of us wear headphones 8 hours a day. I agree with others in saying the positive reviews here are written by HR.
Tried bringing concerns to management multiple times; never a productive response...they don't want to hear anything that doesn't match their narrative that this place is amazing.
The euphemism for training is “retooling existing resources”. Come here if you enjoy being a fungible number.
On the technical side: I've never seen such an extreme case of Not Invented Here syndrome. Plus, we have a mandatory annual kickoff party. To register for the party you have to indicate which group you are in. The choices are “us sales, us marketing, uk sales, uk marketing, other”. Yes, all of engineering is “other”. Everyone is talking about this in the halls but management doesn’t care.
Product quality is diving because too much knowledge has walked out the door…distributed systems are hard…especially if there is no one left who remembers why systems work the way they do. Absolutely nothing being done to stem the exodus.
