Pros

Easy to be hired here, unless the hiring manager has some type of demographic perception based on your appearance

Cons

It’s a very very long list of cons to be honest: low pay, bad benefits, horrible training, extremely high production demands, treated as a non-human on some days and even if you are doing well you have to look overwhelmed or you’ll be targeted for much more work and criticized amongst your peers

Independent Living System Response
7y
Apologies for the delayed response to this feedback. We sincerely hope that you are still with the organization after more than 5 years of service and have found it to be a more uplifting workplace. We are an equal opportunity employer and do not base hiring decisions on appearance, but rather how a candidate's experience matches to the role. We absolutely agree that being nice and respectful of each other helps to make for a better workplace.

Pros

Remote Position was created for me Great benefits I attempted to move on to other companies and both times ILS matched their offer proving they really valued me as an employee.

Cons

Sadly they closed the office in IL that I was based out of for 6 of the 9 years I was employed there but it was during 2020 so i understood.

Pros

There are a few caring managers

Cons

They force you to sign new contracts with no alignment with the market for a salary increase. The company is making money but not providing sufficient raises for the California market. The employees need a union to fight for numerous things.
