Pros
Echo previous posts, but there's some very smart individuals that you can get staffed with and learn a lot in a specific area. Some mid-level leadership is in place that can take the company in the right direction if they are given any space.
Cons
- Arrogance at the top erodes any sense of collective culture. - Indiscriminate crackdown on performance without acknowledging and rewarding good employees. Consultants took the brunt of it with everyone scapegoating down the chain. - Micromanaging rather than empowering consultants to take on new roles and challenges - Some annoying practices that I haven't seen at other firms.... "If you take PTO for a few days, work extra hours earlier in the week so you still bill all the hours" .... - Everyone feels wrongly staffed in roles they don't know how to do - No communication around growth strategy or vision for the company other than "we want to do things differently"
