Pros

Locally great team and and great coworkers. Good PTO

Cons

Prior to the COVID19 outbreak, Intertek waspretty decent place to work. However, since the outbreak despite certain citys and states placing mandated quarantines, Intertek has demanded that EVERY employee still show up to work despite half being capable of doing their jobs from home. This includes those without child care, those with health conditions and those over 65. No exceptions! It is either come to work or take PTO. This comes from the highest level.

Pros

Good group of people in local office.

Cons

Stuck in the past. Unwilling to consider updating methods or procedures. "We've done it this way for 30 years and it has worked." Sales relies upon project engineers to do most of their work for them. When volume of work is slow that becomes the engineers responsibility to go find new clients. Can't reliably pay the most basic of utility bills on time. I've seen the power cut off 2x and the gas this past winter.
