Pros

Excellent benefits, competitive pay, kind people and impressive employee retention. Employees are generally lifted to succeed rather than ground down for productivity. Work life balance is impressive here, the best I've experienced in the industry and especially the Midwest. Learning opportunities are presented and encouraged. Generally a positive culture, without forced conformity. Work is ethical, which is hard to find these days; I'm happy to be providing services for schools and hospitals. If you like Apple products, you'll be at home here. Great device packages for employees. It took me a considerable amount of time to come up with the Cons below, so that should be considered a plus in and of itself.

Cons

Growing pains from recent IPO; some internal departments don't receive the same attention as more public facing ones do, and some initiatives become compromised by the lack of support from the top down. Despite retention listed above, there doesn't seem to be an active desire to appease and retain talented people who jump ship. Great if you're wanting to explore opportunities, but harmful if you're invested in your work and want to see it through. Communication post-Covid has seen a large impact due to the WFH initiative. Definitely not unique to Jamf, I believe the company is doing the best they can, but expect to put in work if you want to remain connected to others.

Thanks for leaving a review. We appreciate your kind comments and also feedback for improvement areas. Overall, we are proud to have been able to maintain stability in our culture and values during this period of growth, especially during the pandemic, but are aware of some of the growing pains we have experienced. We have moved to a choice-based office model where employees can choose to work from home if that is best for them or choose to come into the office for community and collaboration our employees desire. Without the ability to “bump into” fellow Jamfs in the hallway, we do have to make an extra effort to reach out and engage with other Jamfs. Our internal events committee, leadership, and management teams have also taken extra steps to coordinate virtual happy hour events, holiday parties, trivia games, cocktail and cooking classes, and much more for Jamfs to connect with one another. We also continue to review our benefits package and compensation to continue our more than 90% retention rate and have recently increased our benefits package to include an employee stock purchase program and RSU for employees to share in our financial success, expanded parental leave for both birth and non-birth parents, and added health navigation services for our LGTBQ+Jamfs and their families. We continue to partner with compensation experts to provide insights as to where we can improve and deliver the values our employees are looking for. We are committed to ensuring Jamf is a great place to work for all!

Pros

Jamf, during my time there, was a really great place to be. I felt that the community and company culture were very supportive, and your responsibilities were clearly outlined. When I was hired, there was still a lot of fun to be had with the company. Offsites were great, team meetings were a lot of fun, and it made you want to sign in to work every day.

Cons

Towards the end of my time at Jamf, after a series of acquisitions, it was difficult to keep up with the different silos of technology we were responsible for as experts. Plus, compensation increases had largely gone away. It was difficult to get a promotion or raise, and towards the very end, there was a looming threat of a layoff over your head most of the time.
