Pros

A few good colleagues who work

Cons

The new manager runs 2 residential group homes so is not physically able to manage well. The Assistant Manager began a month ago. Staff are on phones for all their shift, working 15-20 minutes. Absenteeism and Tardiness are not addressed. There are continual mandates for double shifts each weekend as staff often call out. I have only been there since June and am scheduled 20+ hours a month. Management has required me to do 5 double shifts within that period. I have only been on 12 shifts, Slightly less than half of those were mandated O/T. Employees should be able to leave at end of shift. There are non stop group texts about issues that are not priority. I am repeatedly called in on my day off to cover a shift then contact again after already declining.

Pros

This organization provides career development opportunities to all. It recently started a new path for DSP which provide both bonuses and a base pay increase for each level. A coach promotes success of each candidate.

Cons

We would love to offer better pay for everyone. Our rates constrain us. But there is no better place to serve than here.

Pros

2 residents per nurse ratio makes for better quality and efficient direct patient care.

Cons

Can sometimes be too redundant and slow-paced.
