Pros

Limited work from home available.

Cons

Boys' club. Pretty sure the overcompany ate my previous company, absorbed their contract, and slowly digested/dismantled the group.

Pros

- Large and well financed company supporting individual contracts. - Responsive administrative and IT support outside of individual team processes and resources. - Outside of standard medical/insurance benefits they offer tuition reimbursement with University partners, IVF planning and discounts, career development, and more. - Team/Contract dependent. (can be pro or con) In my case, my team and experience was great. Intelligent/sharp, organized, productive, supportive, and empathetic. - Pace can be slower for government contract work (again, contract specific, can be pro or con depending on your style.) - Allows for team autonomy. - Offers fully remote positions.

Cons

- Contracts can be short term (3-5 years) and are not guaranteed to be renewed. There's no guarantee you will transition to another contract or team. - Some contract funding may be affected by government shutdowns, or outright descoped (think DOGE) - Very team/contract dependent. (can be pro or con) - Pace can be slower for government contract work (again, contract specific, can be pro or con depending on your style.) - Not as nimble as a smaller company or startup can be.
