Pros
They have fun events for the staff. Insurance division is well run and is where employees seem to be happy with their jobs.
Cons
High turnover in retail sales, which is their business model to churn and burn. Sales staff is miserable but act like they are happy to stay on the good side of management so they can get leads. If you have a disagreement with management you won’t get any leads. Very passive aggressive behavior. No one stays for long due to management. Sales team members truly dislike management and how they’re demeaned and spoken down to if you don’t get a sale. Be ready for daily talks any time that happens. You will have to use sleazy sales tactics and make several phony phone calls to the used car salesman style manager to get fake price drops, even though you already know the lowest price the customer can buy at. They want you to rip customers off to make more money. Supposedly you’re a 1099 contract employee but they make you follow their sales pitch and tell you how you have to sell, what to wear, attend multiple meetings per week, and you’re on call 6 days a week at their beck and call. This helps them avoid paying taxes and is not legal. Your pay is based on how the manager feels about you and if they want to pay you what you’re due. And when you leave they won’t pay you. I was shown a document that they try to get you to sign that says they don’t have to pay you when you are no longer there. Was there briefly and 7 people left within 30 days.
