Pros

The staff that work in the programs, the ones that directly interact with the individuals served, have a tremendous job and do it well! Many of the support departments provide actual support to the programs

Cons

The "C-suite" is disconnected from the reality that is the work that is done by the staff in the programs. Decisions are made on a whim and change at breakneck speed, without consulting the people who those decisions affect. There is a serious lack of professionalism from those who are touted to be the "leaders" of the agency, belittling people, sizing people up, gossiping, and judging - none of those are qualities of a good leader

Pros

A lot of opportunity to grow in many fields if you’re interested in this population. Management does their best to advocate for higher pay and compensation (sometimes unsuccessful). The orientation trainings are the best- so detailed and informative

Cons

Lack of resources are always a con in this field
