Pros

The children are the best part of job!

Cons

very poor pay, back stabbing, awful human resource department. The woman running the department is a rude, and ignorant person. No support from management, no support on the job. Unfair schedules, same people doing all the hard work, and caring for the hardest children. Same people have the easy kids, and schedule over and over.

Pros

A lot of opportunity to grow in many fields if you’re interested in this population. Management does their best to advocate for higher pay and compensation (sometimes unsuccessful). The orientation trainings are the best- so detailed and informative

Cons

Lack of resources are always a con in this field

Pros

I'm proud to be part of an organization that reflects the vision and values that I have always aspired to in this field. As a member of leadership at May Institute, I've experienced firsthand how rare it is to find an organization that truly lives its values at every level. May is full of hardworking, compassionate team members who passionately support our clients. May actively invests in it's people, empowering team members to pursue their professional goals. I have grown in my profession as a result of the support from the organization, and I have witnessed many people here experience major professional growth. The leadership culture fosters an environment where innovation thrives and people are treated with respect and dignity. I can't imagine working anywhere else.

Cons

This is hard work, but it comes with many rewards.
