Pros

Small company feel, but operations of larger company. Flexible work schedule, good work-life balance. You get to know almost everyone in the company personally. Occasional travel depending on your position. Several team-building events through the year (fishing trips, Christmas parties, etc.). Good place to get your foot in the door and get experience. Lot's of training and continuous learning opportunities.

Cons

Lack of foresight and long term planning from management. Mostly focused on "right here, right now" projects, which results in a lot of bottleneck situations. Quite a big staff turnover rate especially in sales. Average benefits, very few paid holidays, little PTO. No separate sick leave days.

Pros

This is a small family run business, that being said they are trying to be something they are not. a Telecom Company.

Cons

1.) Lack of security awareness (Storing of Sensitive information in plain text documents.) 2.) Typical Sprawl of Applications and Tools that aren't fully utilized. Weird Relationship with Pacific Dataport INC., Leadership at that company dictates what happens at Microcom. You will be asked at 3:30pm to have a dashboard built before the end of the day (when you push back the president of said company will have his lap dog tell you that "yesterday was too late.") 4.) Top heavy leadership.
